WOYWW #401

Welcome to the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday” blog hop hosted by the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground, where we open our craft rooms up to have you peak at our desks.

A real quick post this week, as I again, almost missed that it’s Wednesday, and also I didn’t take any pictures of the Wanderlust work I did this weekend, nor of the birthday cards I made.

What you do see is the sheet I had stamped a while ago of the Tim Holtz Crazy Cats, which I thought would be perfect for my nephews birthday.  Colored in nice a pretty with Distress markers…then went to die-cut it out.  Notice the hole where another one had been cut out.  Proof I have, errr, had, the dies.  3 hours later on Sunday, and another 1.5 hours last night before taking this picture (I have to say; the rest of the room looks pretty spiffy now): no dies.  I’m praying they didn’t fall off a stack during the Holiday Chaos, and land in the trash can.  Because I may cry.
The green card will be the background for said kitty; and various other card making tools are scattered around. (the blue curl is painters tape...used for masking another card; and now is just hanging out sticking to everything and pissing me off...but I might mask this card like that one...so, its still hanging out.  Wow...guess there was a carry-over of stress from the die search! Sorry!

So that’s me; now go back to the Stamping Ground to portal off to other creative desks.  Stay Crafty my friends.

WOYWW #400! Wow!

WoW! This is the 400th post of  the “What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesdayblog hop hosted by the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground, where we open our craft rooms up to have you peak at our desks.

Mine not very exciting this week.  My main focus for crafting has been for the Wanderlust 2017 assignment…which you can see here. But I’ll have to get some serious card making in, as February is a heavy birthday month. (actually already missed one! Zoinks!) The VIP card is for my Mother in Law, and when Our Daily Bread Designs had a sale a few weeks ago, I (ahem) found a few stamp sets that I thought would suit her nicely. So that is what you see. There are actually 2 sets stacked, as well as 2 coordinating paper pads. I don’t know why I buy their paper pads…I never use them; I generally don’t make cards in their style…but they are just too darn pretty. So in my stash they go!

The colorful page was an experiment with Color Bursts and a Dina Wakely stencil. There are some quote stamps, never put away from the last card making session a few weeks ago. I love the Funny Bones line; this one says “We’ll always be best friends because you know too much”  Oh, and the small little letter stamps...from the old PSX company...were used to stamp on Tim Holtz tissue
paper (box on far left), as it becomes invisible in an art journal once glued down. I just haven’t been back on this side of the room to clean them up. Need to remedy that quickly!
